Sustain nature, as nature sustains you
Earth Philosophy Practices and principles ensure the most Bio-Active Ingredients available
REGENERATIVE AGRICULTURE
Regenerative agricultural practices revive our local ecology through the regeneration of native ecosystems. Earth Philosophy uses organic compost, green manure, and no-till gardening methods to naturally increase soil health, as well as planting of native pollinator habitats to increase biodiversity. Synthetic chemicals are never used.
SMALL-BATCH PRODUCTION
Small-batch production involves hand harvesting and selecting seasonally fresh herbs to make your oils and extracts. It also means we make product and fill bottles in small batches so that the ingredients in your bottle are always fresh.
CERTIFIED ORGANIC GC-MS TESTED OILS
Our essential oils are certified organic by the US Department of Agriculture. They are also analysed in a third party lab, using gas chromatography and mass spectrometry, to ensure plant molecules are within appropriate range and there are no instances of adulteration. The resulting Certificate of Analysis is available on each product listing page.
HUMAN ENGAGEMENT
Human engagement is alive and well in every step of the process, from seed to shipping. Human hands and in-person interactions are a priority if we want to sustain our natural world. Additionally, Earth Philosophy engages in local face to face markets, store visits, nature education and tours; especially for the youth.
Earth Philosophy practices ensure the most bio-active products available. We follow a simple philosophy when making our therapeutic essential oil blends: “Sustain nature, as nature sustains you.”
“Humankind has not woven the web of life. We are but one thread within it. Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves. All things are bound together. All things connect.”
Earth Philosophy organically grows 30% of the herbal ingredients used in our essential oils for skin care and natural relief. We take pride in using regenerative and sustainable growing practices at every step of the process.
